Michael Detmar elected to the National Research Council

At the beginning of September, the Executive Committee of the Foundation Council of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) elected five new members to the National Research Council. The new members work in linguistics, environmental engineering, experimental oncology, genetics and developmental biology as well as developmental biology and evolution.

The following professors will soon take up their roles as members of the National Research Council:

Biology and Medicine division: Michael Detmar, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, ETH Zurich, in the field of experimental oncology; he succeeds Sabine Werner.
